Welcome to Leo Methodist Church! We are dedicated to making disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. Here at Leo Church, we love all of God’s people, regardless of where they are in life, or whatever may be going on in their lives. We try to be like Jesus that way. Where Things Stand
While many things have changed in the last eighteen months, some key things have remained the same. As a member in good standing of the Global Methodist Church, we here at Leo GMC fully embrace the fact that we are a connectional church in ministry with our brothers and sisters from other Global Methodist Churches in ministry to the whole world. Structurally, we are a part of the Great Lakes Conference of the new denomination. Our new annual conference includes churches in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana. More specifically, we here at Leo are part of the Northeast district of Indiana. Here’s another thing you may find interesting; our first annual conference will take place at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana from June 5-7, 2024. At this conference, we begin to decide on how we will govern ourselves as a new denomination. Currently, we are operating on a provisional basis until we can officially decide and vote on how we go forward.
In addition, our first General Conference will be in San Jose, Costa Rica from September 20 – 26. At the General Conference, Global Methodists from all over the world will come together to affirm what it is to be a Global Methodist and how we will do ministry together in order to make new disciples for Jesus Christ all around the world. These are exciting times! We firmly believe that God is on the move in how we are carrying out this ministry He has given us as Global Methodists. Stick with us; the best is yet to come!
